Jenika started dancing at Express Yourself Dance Company at the age of eight, and continued with the team until making the Cedar High School Drill Team. She danced for four years on Mohey Tawa, where she was captain on the State Championship Team her senior year.
After high school, Jenika danced with the Waukeenyan Dance Team at Southern Utah University for two years. While at SUU, Jenika met her husband Tanner, and later moved to St. George where she jumped at the opportunity to be a part of EYDC again. Dance is a huge part of her life and she loves how dance can help you express the way you feel in a positive way. Jenika loves helping and seeing others express themselves through dance.
She is currently one of the choreographers for Solos/Duets/& Trios. She believes helping girls that decide to compete in the Solos/Duets/& Trios helps build confidence and self esteem. Dance has affected Jenika’s life for the better in so many ways, and continues to do so every year at EYDC.
